Fencing is an Olympic sport with a long history as a martial art evolving from competitive swordsmanship to what it is today. However this dose not mean we are behind the times, as modern fencing is a fast paced and cutting edge sport. This session is perfect for people curious about trying fencing and who are looking to stay active in an exciting way. This session is designed to make it as easy to get stuck in so all equipment is provided. All you need: -Water bottle  -Long legged sports trousers e.g. joggers  -Suitable indoor trainers The session structure we will be using starts with a quick warm up and straight into learning the basic moves. Once this is done the rest of the session you will be able to fence one another at your own pace. You probably used AI today. Most of us did. However, have you questioned the logistics behind it? Every question you ask lands in a real building somewhere, and that building needs land, electricity, and water. A lot of them are being built near Bristol right now, and hardly anyone is talking about it. We are the Sustainable Innovation Society. We are students who research this kind of thing properly and send what we find to the people who make the decisions. In this Give it a Go! session, we will bring maps, spread them on the table, and show you where these places are going and what sits next to them. Then we want to hear what you think. There is no talk to sit through and no right answer to get. You do not need to know anything about AI, planning, or the environment. We are currently in the first stages of a project on this exact issue and want to brainstorm. Come along, have a drink, and discuss with us. Free, no purchase necessary, soft drinks available.
